    1. Allow conditional questions on the same page

      Professional survey software often include this ability. It is much more appropriate to put certain conditional question in context, immediately after the question triggering it, without requiring a new page. Yes, this probably requires some flash or javascript, but this will really step isalient up into a new realm of higher end clients.

      • Finish button instead of next on last page

        Currently every page says "Next" for the button to proceed. If it will be going to the last step / confirmation page it should say submit or finish

        • Show name, email, or other field instead of IP on report

          Under reports > individual responses there is a list of the survey responses shown by date and IP. A similar list of the most recently completed surveys is also shown on the admin home page.

          The IP and date values are not very meaningful for my purposes, and I suspect many others. It would be great if these could be changed to different values, for example date and email or date and name (a survey question)? This would allow for much easier sorting and finding of responses, as at present I find it quite difficult.

          • Better Reporting, Graphs: multiple choice, matrix

            Improve graph / report for multiple choice , (whether choose one or choose many) and matrix questions. The current report can be tough understand:

            1) iSalient should have the ability to graph the results in the order corresponding to the choices as presented in the question, not just by ordering the responses according to the number of times selected. It's often more helpful to see patterns and glean insights if given the option to present answers in the probably more logical order as presented in the question:

              It should be possible to create variables that can be used in answers and questions where these variables are filled through previously given answers.

              Example: i create a question with several freetext answers. These answers can be used as answers in a next question. This is not possible now.

                  I just started using Qualtrics, and I must say that even though I'd love using iSalient to manage my surveys, it really has a long way to go to beat it in terms of design and usability...

                  • Copy Questions from Other Surveys

                    From new survey, allow user to copy/insert/append survey questions from other surveys, and allow them to choose from either entire survey or selected pages or questions.

                    • iPhone app for respondents invited by web page, email, text or bluetooth

                      It would be great to enable respondents - whether known or anonymous - to complete questions using their smartphone (ideally iPhone, Nokia and Blackberry....?). This functionality/resource would bring Active Campaign into competition with the *big* boys!

                      • Clearly differenciate required questions (with a different back-color, a "*" at the beginning...)

                        It's sometimes important to have quite questions required. When designing the survey you must enter to each question to see if it has been marked as required, or test the survey and press next without completing any question.
                        It would be easier for the survey designer and the customer/user if mandatory questions are clearly identified with a different text or background color, starting or ending with "*", etc.

                        • Batch Insert Answers

                          Be able to batch insert a long list of answers into a single / multiple response question. For example years or car brands. Just copy past into a large textfield where the items are stored as answers based on the carriage return.

                            When you export a survey and it's results, this makes 2 seperate files. But importing is only available for surveys, not results of a survey. It would be nice to be able to import survey results into an imported copy of the survey.

                                Hi,

                                I think it would be nice if we can choose to display answer options in 1 or 2 columns (in case of checkbox or radio button) because sometimes listing options vertically just takes up too much space.

                                Another feature that i think would be nice if we can add our own field validation rule and should be able to support double byte language. For example, if we want to make sure that user only enter Chinese text and etc.

                                    It should be possible to create conditions on answers.. Answers should only be shown based on previously given answers.

                                    For example: question 1 = multiresponse question. Question2: matrix question where only rows are shown that are given in question 1.

                                      If using isalient for something like a signup, or even a general survey, it would be great to send a confirmation message to the survey-taker/ respondent, much like, but in addition to the "Thank You" page.

                                      There would need to be a way to (drop down menu?) to select the user's email if a specific question response in the survey, or if used in the "send survey invitation" link.

                                      There would also of course need to be another window to edit the message (again similar to the "Thank you" page.

                                        It is desirable to share a report that shows only the survey results without the link to view answers. The ability to view answers should be an 'eyes only'. For more general reporting, the survey results page is sufficient. No View Results should be available. A second shared report could include the view answers link

                                        • Calculate total points as maximum possible on radio/sliders

                                          Let's say you have a point range of 0-10 for answers on a question. But the survey only lets someone answer ONE choice (radio button or slider). The TOTAL possible points should be calculated based on the maximum value (e.g., 10) rather than 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10!

                                          • Make iSalient FASTER in editing / saving questions

                                            Improve the performance--It's important when editing or updating larger surveys. On this user's server, it takes between 8 to 16 seconds to update a question in iSalient. Perhaps it's the Ajax of Flash, or perhaps it's the shared server (on Godaddy "Grid" (optimized) shared economy hosting plan.
